About This Spot

Stepping into Restaurante Cielito Lindo feels like entering a quiet, inviting corner of San Pedro Tlaquepaque where time slows down just enough to savor simple pleasures. Nestled in the heart of Centro, this charming spot unfolds within an old building, revealing a peaceful courtyard where conversations carry gently beneath soft lighting and occasional live music. The pace here is unhurried, encouraging moments of connection over thoughtfully prepared food and carefully crafted drinks.

The atmosphere strikes a balance between relaxed and refined, a place where familiar Mexican flavors meet subtle culinary surprises. Whether it’s a morning visit for comforting chilaquiles or later in the evening with friends sharing luminous plates and unique cocktails, the mood feels warm and attentive without ever rushing. There’s a clear thread of care in the way dishes arrive at the table, each carrying nuanced textures and colors that invite conversation—notes of mole, fresh guacamole, or a tart passion fruit element suggest stories beyond the plate.

Though the restaurant maintains a certain quiet elegance, it carries the unmistakable rhythm of a neighborhood gathering spot, filled with the hum of genuine human moments. Service here has its earnestness, with a staff that aims to make guests feel at ease, weaving hospitality through the evening's evolving energy. We went back to this beautiful restaurant, this time we went back in the morning for breakfast and in the evening for drinks. Breakfast is really good we had chilaquiles verdes, chilaquiles rojos I el wrap. All of them were so good and the prices are very reasonable for this beautiful place. At night we went to the bar for drinks and it was as well a great experience. The service is great!! Highly recommend this place for breakfast and also just for drinks in the bar. I still have to try dinner here!!

Lovely high end restaurant in a charming neighborhood. I had the ensalada vegana and my husband had pasta with Parmesan cheese and shrimp. The salad was amazing with baby corn and carrots with slices of passion fruit on a bed of kale with a purée of guavas. My husband enjoyed his meal too. We shared a vegan side dish of roasted cauliflower with a sauce of pumpkin seeds. Definitely will go back!

Good dining option centrally located in Tlaquepaque. Restaurant doesn’t look like much from the street but it’s located within an old building with a courtyard. Broad menu with several soup, salad and dinner options. I ordered the baked cauliflower and Cesar salad and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of flavor in each dish. Service is professional and friendly. No ramp for wheelchair chairs but doable if you can get the chair over a step up to the restaurant and step down to the courtyard.

Stumbled into this place by happenstance. The food was SO GOOD, authentic, and the service was top notch. All of their specialty cocktails are unique and come out in spectacular fashion. The band provided wonderful music. The atmosphere is relaxing and serene.

The food and the atmosphere is very good. After remodeling the place looks very nice. I'm afraid that the service needs a lot of improvement; they keep forgetting the orders and leave you a lot of time without asking if you need anything

What a beautiful place!! Food and drinks were incredible!! They were able to accommodate our party of 9 effortlessly! The octopus tacos were out of this world delicious!!

Delicious food, served fast. We tried birria, and came back for another day! Portions are relatively big - one was enough for both of us! Drinks are worth trying

This restaurant is a hidden gem located in the heart of Tlaquepaque, on Calle Independencia between Calle Contreras Medellin and Calle Cruz Verde. To start, I must mention our waitress Penelope was wonderful. So, the restaurant, It has many normal Mexican dishes listed on its menu, however the manner in which these dishes are made (with unique & high quality ingredients give it a gourmet edge that many of it’s competitors in the neighborhood don’t do as well. For example, I had a duck burrito that was served with a cherry tomato salsa—every aspect of this culinary delight was delight. My wife had chicken mole, and it was better than any mole we’ve ever had in Mexico (even better than the many moles we tried in Oaxaca.) Anyhow, I could go on and on and wax poetic about our drinks, the salsas, etc. but I will end this by emphasizing that the food is amazing.
